These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PactPilot website, workspace, mobile apps, bots, Chrome Extension, and related services (the "Service") provided by PactPilot ("we", "us", or "our").
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
01PactPilot is an AI client-communication copilot for freelancers. The Service can analyze client messages, selected text, screenshots, contract text, uploaded files, and project context, then generate communication suggestions, tone options, risk notes, and draft replies.
PactPilot is designed to support communication decisions. It does not replace your own judgment.
2. No Legal, Financial, or Professional Advice
02PactPilot is not a law firm and does not provide legal, financial, tax, accounting, or professional advice.
Contract-related analysis, clause summaries, risk labels, and draft responses are provided for communication support only. You are responsible for reviewing all outputs before relying on them or sending them to a client. For legal or professional decisions, consult a qualified professional.
3. AI Output
03AI-generated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or inappropriate for your specific situation. You are responsible for:
- Reviewing and editing all generated content.
- Confirming facts, contract terms, amounts, names, dates, and obligations.
- Deciding whether a reply is suitable for your client relationship.
- Ensuring your use of the Service complies with applicable laws and agreements.
We do not guarantee any client response, payment outcome, negotiation result, legal outcome, or business result.
PactPilot does not automatically send messages, emails, or replies to clients. You review, edit, decide, copy, and send.
4. Accounts and Access
04Some parts of the Service may require an account, app store entitlement, bot session, extension installation, or other access method. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and access credentials.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
05PactPilot may offer a free version and a paid Pro subscription. Some features require a paid subscription or in-app purchase.
Subscriptions may be billed through app stores, payment processors, or other payment platforms. Subscription pricing, renewal periods, free trials, and available plans are shown before purchase where applicable.
Subscriptions may automatically renew unless canceled before the end of the current billing period, or as otherwise described by the relevant payment platform. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through the applicable account settings where available.
We do not control app store or payment platform refund processes. Refund requests should be made through the relevant platform unless otherwise required by law.
6. User Content
06"User Content" means messages, selected text, screenshots, documents, contract text, project details, prompts, feedback, and other information you submit to the Service.
You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant PactPilot a limited license to host, process, transmit, analyze, display, and use User Content as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Service.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit User Content to the Service.
7. Acceptable Use
07You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or abusive purposes.
- Submit content you do not have the right to use.
- Upload malware, harmful code, or content intended to disrupt the Service.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or interfere with the Service.
- Use the Service to generate spam, harassment, fraud, or illegal content.
- Misrepresent AI-generated output as professional legal advice from PactPilot.
- Use the Service in a way that violates another person's rights.
8. Chrome Extension
08The Chrome Extension is intended to analyze content you explicitly submit, such as selected text, pasted messages, uploaded files, screenshots, or supported page content you choose to send for analysis.
The extension should not upload your full page DOM, cookies, browsing history, tab list, or unrelated page content for PactPilot analysis. It does not send messages for you.
9. Intellectual Property
09PactPilot and its software, design, trademarks, logos, and content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
These Terms do not grant you ownership of PactPilot's intellectual property.
10. Privacy
10Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information. By using the Service, you agree that we may process information as described in the Privacy Policy.
Privacy Policy:
11. Third-Party Services
11The Service may rely on third-party providers for hosting, analytics, AI processing, payments, crash reporting, or other functionality. Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and policies.
12. Changes to the Service
12We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also change features, pricing, availability, or access rules, subject to applicable law and platform requirements.
13. Termination
13You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk, misuse the Service, or if required by law.
After termination, certain sections of these Terms will continue to apply, including sections relating to ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity.
14. Disclaimers
14The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or suitable for your needs.
15. Limitation of Liability
15To the maximum extent permitted by law, PactPilot will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost business, or client disputes arising from or related to your use of the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims related to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some limitations may not apply to you.
16. Indemnity
16You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PactPilot from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.
17. App Store Terms
17If you download PactPilot through an app store, your use of the app may also be subject to that app store's terms, policies, and end user license terms.
The app store provider is not responsible for providing support or maintenance for PactPilot, except as required by applicable law or platform terms.
18. Changes to These Terms
18We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms and update the effective date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice.
